Mine is a '97 I bought with 1,500 miles on it. It now has 3,500. It's only 50 degees out this morning I might put on a turtle neck and full leathers and see if I can stand it. Nah, as I look out I can see it is just starting to rain. I have rain gear but I am not a masochist.
When I was in Germany I lived 20 miles from base and rode a BMW everyday sun, rain, snow, ice, whatever. It got real exciting at times. I lived up on a hill, one afternoon it snowed while I was at work. I managed to ride home without spilling but when I got to the hill I tried 5 or 6 times to run up the hill but could only get about 2/3 the way up before the rear wheel lost traction and I slid backwards all the way down. Finally had to leave the bike on the center stand and walk up. It was still there the next morning. Different times. Oh well, enough rambling.
